Our Commitment
Brashears Furniture wants everyone to be able to shop, browse, and get in touch on this website, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard, magnifier, or other assistive technology. We work on accessibility as part of how we build and maintain the site, and we keep improving it.
Our Standard
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA. We review new pages and features against that standard and fix the issues we find.
What We Do
- Keyboard navigation: every menu, link, button, and form on the site can be reached and used with a keyboard alone.
- Text contrast: text and background colors are chosen to stay readable, including on buttons and over photos.
- Image alt text: product photos and other meaningful images carry text descriptions for screen readers.
- Labelled forms: every form field has a label, and error messages say what needs fixing.
- Captions where video exists: any video we publish on the site includes captions.
